Our Vintages:

2009 Gavilan “Estate Reserve Bonarda”

This is a limited edition of only 5,000 bottles. This Bonarda was created in one French oak barrel #7, and one American oak barrel #8.

100% made in barrel, elaborated over 10 months in barrel and 15 months in bottle. The grapes were hand selected, hand fed into the destemmer, and fermented separately to achieve maximum quality for this very special wine.

The wine was awarded a “Silver Medal” at the 2011 Argentina Wine Awards, the most prestigious competition for Argentine wine, with over 700 entries that year.

Optimal drinking time: 2013-2016 @ 18ºC

2010 Gavilan “Single Barrel Malbec”

This is our ultra premium line, and it is a limited edition of 250 bottles that came from this one “Single Barrel”. This is the first year for this new ultra premium line.

Made in a French oak barrel #10-014, elaborated for 10 months in barrel, it is currently in the bottle cellar. It has a beautiful smooth finish, excellent fruit flavors and nose.

2010 Gavilan “Estate Reserve Bonarda”

Again our premium Bonarda has been made 100% in barrels – mixed French and American oak. The grapes were hand selected, as they are for all our premium and ultra premium wines.

There will be approximately 3,000 bottles in numbered edition available this year. We are planning to remove this wine from the barrels by November 2011 after 18 months in barrel, and it is expected to stay in bottle storage for another 6 months before the release.

Future Wines in Process

2011 Estate Reserve Bonarda:

We estimate there will be about 7,000 bottles this year following a late harvest after an excellent year in the vineyard. We have very high expectations for this wine!

2011 Single Barrel Bonarda:

Another ultra premium line single varietal, cold fermented for 27 days in wood vats, stored in French oak. Estimated 250 limited edition numbered bottles.

2011 Single Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon – Bonarda:

Ultra premium line dual varietal, cold fermented for 26 days in wood vats, stored in French oak. Estimated 250 limited edition numbered bottles.
Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon-40% Bonarda.

2011 Single Barrel Malbec:

Ultra premium line single varietal, stored in French oak barrel #11-045 since June 2011. Estimated 250 limited edition numbered bottles.
